Degrees: B.A. in Journalism, M.A. in Sociology, Certification in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language

Hometown: Taipei, Taiwan

Family: I have a cross-cultural marriage. My husband is an American M.K. who grew up in India. We have two lovely daughters.

Why did you come to work at PTCS?

I have taught at a Christian school in Taiwan for many years. I am passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives inside and outside the classroom through my teaching and mentoring. Similar to Pui Tak Christian School, my previous school upholds the value of holistic education, aiming to equip young individuals to dynamically influence the world for Christ. As I am relocating from Taiwan to the U.S., it is an honor for me to continue serving God in this capacity by teaching at Pui Tak Christian School.

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

I enjoy integrating Biblical truth into my teaching, planned or spontaneously, and seeing students' eyes light up as they understand and embrace the teaching. I also enjoy unfolding the beauty and logic of the Chinese language and characters so that students become eager to learn and feel that they can succeed.

What are your favorite moments with students?

I cherish the moments when students blurt out, calling me MOM. They usually feel embarrassed about it, but I know that shows they know I really love and care for them. I also love the moments when students exclaim in class, "Learning Chinese is fun!"
