Miss Ginny Carpenter - PK3-3
Master of Education from Loyola University
Bachelor of Science, Sociology, and Psychology from Calvin College, focusing on Special Education with an endorsement in teaching students with learning disabilities.
Hometown: I was born in Oak Park, Illinois, but when I was two years old, my family moved to
Denver, Colorado, where I grew up and lived until I went to college.
Family: My husband, Jeff, and I have three adult children who are all married and have blessed us with seven amazing, smart and funny grandchildren.
Why did you come to teach at PTCS?
I first came to teach at PTCS as a substitute teacher because I was beginning my career shift departing from the college administration. I knew I wanted to work with Christian Schools and knew of PuiTak through the Bright Promise program. It was important to me to be a part of a community where Christ was honored in all the learning and work; I have been blessed serving at PTCS!
What do you enjoy most about teaching?
Teaching brings me so much joy; to be in the presence of children as they discover wonders about themselves and God's world is the best gift ever.
What are your favorite moments with students?
Favorite moments with children are when they sing and play musical instruments and dance--those are times when I find children to be the freest and full of energy and joy. I also love it when children discover that words can express and bring us laughter and love and wonder--when they learn that words rhyme, that word sounds can make us laugh and they can control some of that--what fun!
